With development of digital technique, the company has become one of the biggest providers that provide comprehensive digital movie post production service. With development of technological environment and clients’ need, the production quality of digital movie, especially that of Hd digital movie, grindingly requires all kinds of abilities of production system, especially storage bandwidth ability of production process. The post production network needs very high bandwidth to meet the need of simultaneous reading and writing ability of Hd digital movie material. The post production network needs modest reliability.
Storage bandwidth performance is prior factor that production network considers. So in order to own high bandwidth, IB SAN network frame is adopted, which immensely improves work efficiency, lowers time and labor cost and powerfully supports after effects and publish of new movie. Except for storage performance, file sharing is the point of network realtime edit. Realizing file sharing which is based on IB SAN is a new try to storage network.
Solution
To above requirements, storage network adopts a set of BWStor CSA and a set of IB SAN storage device for IB SAN frame. Through IB switch, IB connecting line realizes the interconnection between storage network and front-end work station. BWStor CSA makes IB SAN storage device united management and supports file level sharing storage space for front-end application work station.
BWStor CSA5000 adopts the way of data out-of-band transmission, which well supports IB SAN standard access interface and fully plays performance of IB SAN storage device. This provides file sharing storage service of high-performance, high- concurrency and high-availability for front-end application work station.

Application Effects
After strict testing and clients’ actual use, the system has been proved that BWStor CSA5000 whose center is BWFS Blue Whale cluster file system can bring the following value to clients:
1. High Performance File Sharing Storage Space: Through BWStor CSA, the space integration of IB SAN storage device is realized. There is an united namespace supporting file sharing storage service for front-end application work station. When sharing data, all of application work stations do not need to copy, which improves work efficiency. Compared with a lot of data copying work and data mistake which is taken because of copying, now these problems do not exist.
2. Out-of-band Data Transmission Mode: Under IB SAN network, out-of-band data transmission mode is provided to effectively solve the problem that is IO bandwidth bottle neck and IO request delay of system storage when file massively accesses simultaneously. The mode provides the service ability of high bandwidth, low delay and IO fast response.
